Policies

1. Check-in is between 4 PM and 10 PM.
2. Check-out is at 11 AM.
3. No more than 2 cars parked overnight.
4. No firearms. No Hunting. Do no harm to any of the living plants or animals. Fishing is catch-and-release only.
5. No additional tents, campers, RVs, or shelters are to be brought to the property. You will be charged an additional fee, up to double if this policy is ignored.
6. It is not permitted to cut down any trees on the property. You are welcome to burn any fallen wood that properly fits inside the fire pits.
7. No parties or events are allowed unless previously scheduled with your host.
8. Any additional ‘visitors’ must be cleared with your host, and off the property by 10 PM.
9. Quiet hours are between 10 PM and 8 AM.
10. The host must be notified about pets and service animals prior to arrival. Additional fees and Woof in the Woods rules will be applied.
11. Guests are responsible for properly disposing of all smoking and chewing refuse (butts, nerds, blunts, chaw, snuff, rub, fresh leaf). Do not leave any sign of this activity anywhere on the property or heavy fines will be incurred.
12. There is no Lifeguard on duty. Any activities that occur around or in the pond are at the guest’s risk.
13. The host will make a reasonable attempt to return any lost or forgotten personal items left behind, however, will not be held responsible for said items.
14. The host will not be held responsible for the weather. Should a violent storm occur, your safety should be your main priority.
15. Canvas Cottages is protected by Ohio’s Agritourism Laws (Section 901.80 - Ohio Revised Code). Therefore, the host will not be held responsible for any accidents, injuries, or deaths. 

1. No food or drink (other than water) inside the Bombay Belle. Critters are more likely to take this as an open invitation to join you in the middle of the night.
2. Remove your shoes before entering the Bombay Belle. We don’t have pavement; we have dirt and we’d like to keep it outside as much as possible.
3. Completely zip up all three sides of at least one of the doors (screen or canvas) before leaving the Bombay Belle for any extended length of time, when you sleep at night, and when checking out.
4. Should a driving rain occur, please mitigate the chances of water getting inside the Bombay Belle by closing the windows. Simply pull the awning support stick ends out of the bungee loop and lay them along the bottom of the canvas cottage.
5. No more than 2 registered guests are to overnight at the glampsite. If you arrive with additional guests, you may be turned away without a refund. If additional guests are found staying overnight, you will be charged a fee per guest per night.
6. Do not add anything other than compost litter and toilet paper into the compost toilet.
7. Use only the soaps provided in the shower and sink area. These are biodegradable products that will not harm the plants in the gray-water swale.
8. Maintain the height of the flames in your fire pit to avoid the risk of uncontrolled burning. Do not leave the burning fire pit unattended.
9. No open flames inside the tent. No smoking, vaping, or e-cigarettes anywhere on the deck of the glampsite, including inside the cottage. No wax candles anywhere on the glampsite.
10. All garbage must be in a bag and in a proper garbage receptacle.
11. Leaving an excessively dirty glampsite will incur an additional cleaning fee and will be evidenced by photos.
12. Do not leave any food out unattended or overnight. Critters are more likely to take this as an open invitation to rummage through your glampsite.
13. Do not leave the ignited propane grill unattended. Completely turn off the propane grill when you are finished cooking, and prior to checking out. There is no safety shutoff on this appliance and you risk serious injury if the flow of gas is left running.
14. Do not leave the ignited propane heater unattended. Completely turn off the propane heater before leaving the Bombay Belle for any extended length of time, and when checking out.
15. If not following any of our rules forces us to refund or discount an upcoming or existing guest, you will be held liable for the costs.

2. Close the door flap and the smoke hole before leaving the Tribal for any extended length of time, and when checking out.
3. When rain occurs, please mitigate the chances of water getting inside the Tribal Tipi by closing the door and adjusting the smoke flaps. Walk the support sticks around to the front and lay them along the side of the tipi. In these circumstances, it’s best to put your belongings as close to the edges as possible to keep them dry
4. No more than 4 registered guests are to overnight at the glampsite. If you arrive with additional guests, you may be turned away without a refund. If additional guests are found staying overnight, you will be charged a fee per guest per night.
5. Do not add anything other than compost litter and toilet paper into the compost toilet.
6. Maintain the height of the flames in your fire pit to avoid the risk of uncontrolled burning. Do not leave the burning fire pit unattended.
7. No open flames inside the tent. No smoking, vaping or e-cigarettes anywhere on the decks of the glampsite, including inside the tipi, the peete, or the dining wigwam. No wax candles anywhere on the glampsite.
8. All garbage must be in a bag and in the proper garbage receptacle so as not to attract animals.
9. Leaving an excessively dirty glampsite will incur an additional cleaning fee and will be evidenced by photos.
10. Do not leave any food out unattended or overnight. Critters are more likely to take this as an open invitation to rummage through your glampsite.
11. Do not leave the ignited charcoal grill unattended. 
12. If not following any of our rules forces us to refund or discount an upcoming or existing guest, you will be held liable for the costs.

NOTE: Some of the following policies only apply to The Bomby Belle Glampsite, and are identified within the policy.

1. No more than 2 dogs are to be included with your reservation.
2. No pets are allowed inside The Bombay Belle cottage or inside The Bombay Belle glampsite bathhouse at any time. This INCLUDES Spirit, should he come to visit you as well. Any indication that your pet has been inside The Bombay Belle cottage or The Bombay Belle bathhouse will incur heavy cleaning fees, up to $500, and/or potential replacement costs for damaged items, and/or liability for refunds or discounts to upcoming or existing guests impacted by the damage.
3. Pets are allowed inside the HQ, and may be brought into The Tribal Tipi.
4. You will be held financially responsible for any damage caused by your pets anywhere throughout the property.
5. Please kennel your pets if you feel they are over-excited or anxious.
6. Please be sure your pet’s food bowl is either empty or secured away from any wildlife that might come to investigate while unattended, especially at night.
7. Excessive aggression, barking, or damage to property caused by your pet will not be tolerated and can lead to ejection from the property.
8. Do not allow your pet on any furniture at any of the glampsites or inside of HQ.
9. Pet towels will be provided for use on your pet at The Bombay Belle. Do NOT use the guest towels, hot tub towels, or washcloths on your pet. Please contact me if more towels are needed.
10. Pets left alone for any length of time on Canvas Cottage’s property must be kenneled, calm, and quiet.
11. All your pets’ vaccinations must be up to date prior to visiting Canvas Cottages.
12. You will solely be held responsible for any accidents, injuries, or deaths caused to your pets.
