Woof in the Woods

We accept only dogs and no more than 2. They must be well-behaved, quiet, housebroken, and obedient. They must NOT be aggressive towards other people and animals. Every breed is welcome, though all must fit in one Pup Tent.

It is a  39"L x 39"W x 27"H waterproof tent with lots of ventilation. It also has a UV cover, and a doorway that can be fully opened or zipped closed. It will be located on the Bombay Belle glampsite deck, next to your canvas cottage. If you feel that more shelter is needed from severe weather, the Pup Tent can be moved under the roof of the kitchen area.

The Pup Tent will have clean blankets, a large water dispenser, and food bowls. There will also be some fun outdoor toys and treats. We will provide you with a stack of dog towels for cleaning and drying your hound. We will also put a tray under the glampsite's hose, should your barker require a bit of a bath. We DO NOT allow any pets in the glampsite's shower.

Bring along his food, a leash, anything that would make him more comfortable in this strange yet exciting environment. Please also bring a kennel in case they need a place for their own protection and safety if they become too excited or anxious.

Generally speaking, our woods are safe for your canine buddy. We have a very friendly Great Pyrenees mix who roams quite happily without issue (though he did have a skunk incident once - PEE YEW!). Note that we are surrounded by cattle farms. You MUST ensure your dog does not go near these large animals.

If you are comfortable with free-range doggies, we are too. Be aware that there is no fence around the property and you are solely responsible for anything that might happen as a result.  And you might want to take care that he doesn't bring poison ivy back on his fur. It won't bother him, but it will likely irritate you for several weeks! 

The Zipline makes a perfect dog run! We've attached a cable that can be clipped to their collar, giving Fido 100' of run fun! 

I have no issue with your puppies cooling off in the water if they so desire. While there's no beach, there are several shallow places where they can enter and exit.

Sure, you can rub his belly for luck while you're playing Poker! Please don't let your furball jump on any of the furniture inside of the tent.

If they are secured in a kennel and quiet, you can choose to go explore without Fido.

We do not allow ANY pets to be inside the Bombay Belle canvas cottage. All of the linens are white, the main rug is white, and all of our paths are dirt. We also want to keep the site free of fur for future guests who have allergies. Any sign that your pet has been inside the Bombay Belle will incur a heavy cleaning fee. You will also risk replacement costs for damages, and the liability for the value of reservations should we have to cancel on future guests.
